Planned Giving
By making a planned gift, you will leave a legacy of caring for women in need. In addition, the tax and financial benefits of planned gifts can help you ensure the future of your loved ones while enabling you to make a llarger gift to St. Margaret's House—and have a larger impact—than you would be able to during your life.
St. Margaret's House can be named to receive a bequest in your will, or can be designated as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement plan.
For donors who are interested in helping us to build our endowment, many options are available through our relationship with the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, including charitable remainder and lead trusts, charitable gift annuities, and a pooled income fund. The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County will work with St. Margaret's House to provide you with gift proposals, calculations, and necessary documentation, and will serve as trustee, but will not assess you or St. Margaret's House a fee for these services. The charitable portion of your gift will benefit St. Margaret's House outright and in perpetuity through a permanent endowed fund at the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County.
