Shortcakes on the Blacktop
June 9th may have started out rainy and dreary, but that didn't dampen the spirits of those that helped with the annual Shortcakes on the Blacktop. A fundraiser organized by St. James Cathedral has taken place for years in the parking lot of St. Margaret's House. The community came out for their shortcakes through the "drive thru" this year and as the rain cleared in the afternoon more came and sat under the tent. SMH is one of the 3 beneficiaries of this event.
